Internet Safety: Inside Out

More and more, technology is becoming not just a nicety but a necessity in the classroom. Unfortunately, along with all of the benefits there are inherent risks that we must be proactive to prevent. Learn some of the potential risks to privacy and exposure to inappropriate content, but most important, discover how to guard our students against them.

During this presentation we will talk about different types of filtering and monitoring systems for your internet infrastructure and for student devices. We will discuss specific technologies, such as OpenDNS, Cleanbrowsing, Active Directory, GoGuardian and Lightspeed Relay. Plus, I’ll show you resources you can use to host your own Internet Safety course for your students! This breakout is great for anyone wanting to make the internet safer for their schools.
